About AWA

AWA: Trusted Leadership in Sustainable Water Management
The Australian Water Association (AWA) is an independent, not-for-profit association for water professionals and organisations, providing leadership in the water sector through collaboration, advocacy and professional development.
Membership
AWA is Australia’s peak water industry body, having the largest – and most broadly based – membership, connecting professionals around the country and across all water-related disciplines. AWA has over 4,000 individual, and 700 corporate members nationally.
Branches
Through branches in each state and territory, and its national office in Sydney, AWA is able to support individuals and organisations throughout the nation. The Association provides the networks for effective interaction among water professionals across all disciplines. The result is an improved community, government and industry understanding of water science, technology, practice and policy.
Patron
Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia is Patron of the Australian Water Association.
For more than 40 years the AWA has served as a hub for the Australian water industry, and the principle link to the international water industry, providing both local and global networks, developing strong relationships and leading discussions.
